Abstract

This study examines the impact of Six Sigma, a widely embraced methodology for achieving operational excellence, on driving global competitiveness amidst India’s emergence as a formidable economic power (Viksit Bharat). The study provides industry perspectives through a comprehensive approach that blends literature reviews and surveys of industry experts and Six Sigma practitioners. It uncovers the primary factors contributing to operational excellence as perceived by employees across diverse sectors. Additionally, it explores respondents’ views on the challenges and best practices associated with implementing Six Sigma. By scrutinizing the correlation between the extent of Six Sigma implementation and its resulting success, the research discerns whether a robust Six Sigma presence translates to heightened global competitiveness. Ultimately, this study offers practical recommendations for shaping future industry practices, drawing from the insights of those actively pursuing operational excellence
